MOCAD is partnering with Progressive Art Studio Collective (PASC) to produce "Intimacy: The Artistic Community of PASC", an exhibition surveying the past three years of PASC’s growth in fostering artists with developmental disabilities and mental health differences. This exhibition delves into the interior worlds of over 30 PASC artists, representing personal imagery, art historical and cultural referents, and states of emotional intensity

"Speak Out" is a group show featuring PASC artists at the gallery at Wayne County Community College. This show interprets 'speaking' as a communication that doesn’t necessarily require verbal language. Rather ‘speak’ is used here simply to mean the communicating one's voice, a particular opinion or attitude expressed.

"The Sympathetic Relationship of Things" is a group show of artwork by artists across all PASC studios, who work in a style where objects, strokes, or textures form repeated patterns in a single artwork, or across a series. This group show will feature the most artists we've shown in this small space. This is PASC's final exhibition at PASC at the Belt a temporary gallery space located in the Belt Alleyway in downtown Detroit.

"Every Portrait is a Portrait of the Artist" features the artwork of Ronald Griggs, Keisha Miller, Alsendoe Owens, Randy Rodriguez and Thomas Saunders. Showcasing artists whose preferred subject matter is portraiture. Each of these artists presents a unique way of rending the human form. This exhibition is PASC’s second exhibition at PASC at the Belt, our pop up gallery in The Belt Alleyway.

Persistent Vision

"Persistent Vision" is an exhibition featuring three painters, Sherri Bryant, Julieann Dombrowksi and DeRon Hudson, who all work in large-and small-scale vibrant abstraction. This exhibition is our inaugural exhibition in PASC at the Belt, a temporary gallery space located in the Belt Alleyway in downtown Detroit, which we will run through September 2023. PASC at the Belt is made possible through a partnership between PASC, Library Street Collective and the Skip, and a grant from MACC.

Expanding Orbits

Expanding Orbits is an exhibition at Padzieski Gallery featuring 26 artists from The Progressive Art Studio Collective (PASC), an exhibition and studio program for disabled adults, where participating artists work together in a shared group studio space. This exhibition takes the theme of space as a metaphor to discuss creative relationships of force and influence, happy accidents, and unknown phenomenon.

"From Every Direction" features the artwork of over 40 artists from all three PASC studios, Detroit, Southgate and Westland. For several artists this will be the first time they are exhibiting their artwork publicly. The show features a wide range of styles and methods in many different 2D media. This is our second exhibition at the Gallery at Westland City Hall.
