Debbie is a Westland-based multimedia artist who works at the PASC Westland Studio. Her practice centers on linework, color, and the physicality of mark-making, building artworks through patiently layered abstract colors and lines. Once the background feels right, she adds an overlay pattern or gridwork of paint. In her collage work, she cuts up a finished piece and combines it with another to create a hybrid object. Debbie also recycles and repurposes garments, turning everyday materials into wearable art through embroidery and paint.
She has exhibited at PASC Southgate Gallery, Southgate, MI (2025); PASC Detroit Gallery, Detroit, MI (2024/25); BasBlue, Detroit, MI (2024); Art Space 200, University of Michigan Medical School, Ann Arbor, MI (2023); the annual exhibit at Art Gallery at Westland City Hall, Westland, MI (2023); Swords Into Plowshares Gallery, Detroit, MI (2022); Detroit Repertory theatre, Detroit, MI (2022); PASC Detroit Pop-Up Gallery, Detroit, MI (2022); The Scarab Club, Detroit (2021); and an online exhbition with PASC.
