Paul Carter

Paul is an artist who works out of the PASC Detroit studio. Through his artworks, he creates gestural and patterned abstractions from overlapping text, sometimes using his name or other's names, numbers and brightly colored gestures. His artworks are made using a combination of media, mainly acrylic paint and watercolor, with the occasional use of patterned colored pencils. He works in a large spectrum of colors, often adding contrast with light or dark additions.
Paul's artwork has been shown at the PASC Detroit Gallery, Detroit, MI (2025); Art Gallery at Westland City Hall, Westland, MI (2022/2023); and Swords into Plowshares Peace Center and Gallery, Detroit, MI (2022). His artwork has been featured in art fairs such as NADA Miami, FL (2024), presented by White Columns.
