Chantell Donwell

Chantell is a Detroit-based artist working out of the PASC Detroit studio. Her practice centers on the intricate details of natural subjects, including flowers, people, anatomy, interiors, and symbolic imagery. A master of pen, watercolor, and colored pencil, she creates richly detailed, colorful hyper representations. Recently, she has been working on a larger scale, incorporating watercolor and acrylic into her pieces while maintaining her signature attention to detail. Growing up, Chantell spent time helping to maintain her mother’s rose garden, which inspired her appreciation and love of floral imagery.
