Chantell Donwell

Chantell is a Detroit-based artist working out of the PASC Detroit studio. Her practice centers on the intricate details of natural subjects, including flowers, anatomy, interiors, and symbolic imagery. She creates smooth, richly layered planes of color, often combining watercolor and acrylic in her work. A master of colored pencil, she brings her signature attention to detail to every piece. Growing up, Chantell spent time helping maintain her mother’s rose garden, which helped inspire her appreciation and love of floral imagery.
