Vanessa is a Detroit-based artist who works out of the PASC Detroit studio. Her artwork, often created in shades of pink and purple, reflects the joy she finds in her relationships with family and friends, especially babies and young children. Vanessa enjoys coming to the studio to spend time with PASC staff and her fellow program participants. She works with watercolor, India ink, and pencil to create vibrant pieces filled with flowers, hearts, and cheerful imagery. These elements serve as personal symbols, reminding her of loved ones and expressing the happiness she feels through her art.
Vanessa has exhibited at the PASC Detroit Gallery, Detroit, MI (2025); University of Michigan, Institute for the Humanities, Ann Arbor, MI (2025); and the Art Gallery at Westland City Hall, Westland, MI (2024). Her artwork has been featured at the Outsider Art Fair, NYC (2025).
