Ryan McDonagh

Ryan McDonagh

Ryan is an artist who works out of the PASC Westland studio. He is interested in understanding the full picture of objects in the world, from their history to how they function. His artwork spans a wide range of subjects, including lighthouses, vehicles, houses, and clownfish. Using watercolor and acrylic markers, Ryan renders his subjects in a cubist, structural style, as if exploring them in four dimensions. His sculptural works further reflect this deep curiosity about form.

Ryan’s artworks have been featured in PASC Detroit Gallery, Detroit, MI (2024/25); "University of Michigan, Institute for the Humanities, Ann Arbor, MI (2025); BasBlue, Detroit, MI (2024); MOCAD, Detroit, MI (2023); PASC Detroit, Pop Up Gallery, Detroit, MI (2022); The Gallery at Westland City Hall, Westland, MI (2022/23/24/25); Swords Into Plowshares Peace Center and Gallery, Detroit, MI (2022); PASC Southgate Gallery, Southgate, MI (2021/24); and the Scarab Club, Detroit, MI (2021).
