John Peterson
John is a Taylor-based artist working out of the PASC Westland Studio. Known for his speed and prolific output, he creates numerous drawings each week that explore a wide range of subjects—from political figures and club scenes to portraits, landscapes, and comic book narratives of good and evil. While colored pencil remains his preferred medium, John has expanded his practice to include watercolor, ink, and acrylic painting.
John has exhibited at the University of Michigan, Institute for the Humanities, Ann Arbor, MI (2025); PASC Detroit Gallery, MI (2024/25); MOCAD, Detroit, MI (2023); the PASC Southgate Gallery, Southgate, MI (2022); the annual exhibit in the Art Gallery at Westland City Hall, Westland, MI (2022/23/25). His art books have been featured in the Detroit Art Book Fair. His artwork has also been featured in NADA through White Columns Gallery, Miami, FL (2024).
