Phillis is a Detroit-based artist who works at the PASC Detroit Studio. Phylis creates abstract pattern-based drawings and paintings with colors and linework that communicate her zeal and vivacious energy. She is a very engaged artist, producing often 12-15 works in one sitting. She creates her artworks through layering over each piece multiple times to create dense artworks built through days of intense work. She builds a close relationship with her artworks, which she paints and draws by getting in close proximity to them until her visual field is filled with her painted gestures.

Phillis has exhibited at the PASC Detroit Gallery, Detroit, MI (2025). Her artwork has been featured in art fairs such as Creativity Explored x Open Invitational, San Francisco, CA (2026).
