Jerry Dortch

Jerry is a Detroit based artist working out of the PASC Detroit Studio. Through intuitive processes, he creates abstract patterned motifs inspired by architecture, cars, and animals. He works with watercolors and inks, using them to bring his dynamic compositions to life. His lyrical abstract practice is deeply influenced by the music of his favorite artists, Luther Vandross, Stevie Wonder, and The Temptations. Before pursuing art, Jerry was a barber, often cruising through the streets of Detroit in his 1975 Chevy Impala
