Launched in 2021, PASC is the first progressive art and design studio and exhibition program in Detroit and Wayne County dedicated to supporting artists with developmental disabilities and mental health differences to advance artistic practices and build individual careers in the art and design fields. PASC is a program of Services to Enhance Potential (STEP), a non-profit service organization founded in 1972 that provides services and support for more than 1,400 individuals with disabilities and mental health differences across Southeastern Michigan.
At DDP, we prioritize community care and accessibility. While masks are not mandatory at our events, we strongly recommend their use to help protect one another, especially KN95 masks, which provide more protection than cloth masks. We encourage clear masks as an option to support lip-readers, as opaque masks can be a barrier to communication. We often share meals together, so please feel free to do what you need to feel comfortable in those situations. We also recommend testing for COVID-19 at home before attending large gatherings, particularly if you have any symptoms. Finally, we urge our community members to get vaccinated if possible, as it helps protect everyone. Your health and safety matter to us! Masks will be available at our events. Note: If one individual requests all participants mask at an in-person event, we will do so and provide masks.
