Shawna Campbell

Shawna Campbell

Shawna is an artist at the PASC Westland Studio. She brings bold energy to her work, with many describing her as a bombastic artist. When she creates, she is often vocal and excited. Her artwork reflects that same lively spirit, with new pieces inspired by African mask traditions. Shawna often works on several pieces at once, moving from one to another. She builds her compositions in layers, using watercolor and acrylic paints. Her marks are active and expressive, creating a sense of movement across the surface.

Shawna has exhibited at The Gallery at Westland City Hall, Westland, MI (2022/23/26); PASC Southgate Gallery, Southgate, MI (2025); MOCAD, Detroit, MI (2023); PASC At The Belt, Detroit, MI (2023); Reyes|Finn Gallery, Detroit, MI (2023); PASC At/And Chap Lofts, Detroit, MI (2023); Detroit Repertory theatre, Detroit, MI (2022); PASC Detroit Pop-Up Gallery at Vella, Detroit, MI (2022/23); and in one online exhibition on the PASC website in 2021. Her art books have been featured in the Detroit Art Book Fair.
