Robert Duncombe

Robert Duncombe
Robert is a Dearborn-based artist who works out of the PASC Southgate studio. His primary subject matter incorporates figures present in the art studio, ranging from artists to staff, and even himself, while other works expand to include people from the surrounding neighborhood. His geometric forms, often resembling stained glass or aerial landscapes, depict figures linked together like chains of paper dolls, symbolizing interconnected communities. A versatile artist, Robert works with pens, colored pencils, watercolor, acrylic paint, graphite, and markers to realize his forms with thick outlines and strong colors.

Robert has exhibited at the Atelier Gallery, Philadelphia, PA (2025); PASC Detroit, MI (2024/25); BasBlue, Detroit, MI (2024); PASC at the Belt Gallery, Detroit, MI (2023); PASC Southgate Gallery, Southgate, MI (2024/2023/2022); MOCAD, Detroit, MI (2023); The Ford Art Gallery at WCCC, Belleville, MI (2023); PASC at the Belt Gallery, Detroit, MI (2023); Detroit Repertory Theatre, Detroit, MI (2022); The Art Gallery at Westland City Hall, Westland, MI (2022); Swords Into Plowshares Gallery, Detroit, MI (2022); and The Scarab Club, Detroit, MI (2021).
