Marear is a Detroit-based artist who works out of the PASC Detroit studio. His artwork features common themes like 60's, 70's, and 80's pop culture, and music, especially Motown, which he grew up listening to. He describes his inspiration for making artwork as aiming to invoke joy. He uses primarily colored pencil and watercolor, and sometimes acrylic paint.
