Stanley Brown

Stanley lives in Detroit and works out of the PASC Southgate Studio. Stanley’s subject matter ranges from monsters to animals, to faces, to cities. Stanley makes his mixed media drawings through an intensive process of heavily layering on patterns of media, starting with graphite, followed by colored pencil, then ballpoint pen, with a final layer of bold line-work using an acrylic marker and sometimes paint. This process gives his drawings an almost three-dimensional appearance, with each layer existing as a separate plane. He has exhibited at The Scarab Club, Detroit (2021), the PASC Southgate Gallery, Southgate, MI (2021), Swords Into Plowshares Gallery, Detroit (2022), PASC Pop Up Gallery (2022) and in two online exhibition on the PASC website in 2021.
